Not to be combined

We have a lot of coupons we offer to customers. We also offer and automatic discount to customers who place an order $100 or more. This discount is created under "Order Discounts". Of course, then our coupons are created in "Coupons". We only want to allow one coupon code per order. However, when we check the "not to be combined" box, NONE of our coupon codes work because of the automatic order discount we offer. It would be great if the coupon codes weren't affiliated with the order discounts, so that customers can use a coupon code!

Thank you for speaking up about this. I just voted for this as well. Please have a look at our recent idea as is is also relevant and we would appreciate your support.

At least five Big Ideas are asking for the same thing: Give us a LOT more control over how quantity discounts are handled!!!!

As I write this, these ideas total 24 votes:

Set Discounts at Category Level--5 votes
Exempt Certain Products from Discounts--4 votes
Discounts for only a select group of items--6 votes
    Not to be combined--6 votes
Quantity to start higher than 1--3 votes

Right now, your quantity discount system is fairly useless.

PLEASE give us more power in this area!!!!

Yes, exactly. The mere existence of a possible discount (not even one qualified for) will ace out the coupon because of "not to be combined", pretty much making that feature useless. Of course this is so obtuse that you'd never figure it out without customer support explaining it to you. Discounts should either be removed from counting as a combined offer entirely if it is too difficult to only count it when it is actually applied.
